Celebrating the first anniversary of Waverley Clinic at our new location offering Podiatry and Physiotherapy

We are excited to celebrate the first anniversary of Waverley Clinic at our new location! It has been an incredible journey since we first opened our doors in this vibrant new location on East Street in central Farnham. We are proud to have served hundreds of patients in our first year at our new premises, providing quality healthcare and building strong relationships with each and every one of them. In this blog, we’ll take a moment to reflect on everything we have accomplished over the past year.

Our growth and expansion in Farnham

We relocated to our prime location on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, and officially opened the doors to welcome the public on Monday, December 18, 2023.  We were thrilled with our new central town location that could offer our clients expansive space, modern facilities, and state-of-the-art equipment. The move has allowed us to expand our services, including adding new medical specialities and investing in the latest technology to enhance patient care. Our growth and expansion have been possible thanks to your support and trust in our clinic.

Clinic aesthetics

Over the Christmas break of 2023, we dedicated our time to enhancing the clinic’s aesthetics. To create a more inviting and soothing atmosphere for our patients, we repainted the walls, added wood panelling, introduced new plants and a floral display. Our goal is to provide a comfortable and relaxing space for patients to receive their treatments, and we believe that the small details make a big difference.

Airconditioning upgrade

One of the most significant improvements we made in our new location was upgrading our air conditioning system. We understand that comfort and cleanliness are essential for a positive patient experience, so we invested in a modern and efficient air conditioning system to ensure patients are comfortable during their visit. This upgrade also improves air quality within the clinic, creating a healthier environment for both our patients and staff.

Celebrating staff

Our first year at the new location would not have been possible without the dedication and hard work of our staff. We are incredibly grateful for their commitment to providing exceptional care and service to our patients. As we celebrate this milestone, we want to recognise and thank each member of our team for their contributions.

On February 1, 2024, we were delighted to welcome back our receptionist, Jenny, from maternity leave. On the same day, Tina also received a well-deserved promotion to Practice Manager. We are proud to have such dedicated and talented individuals on our team.

Upgraded IT system

Next came the IT system upgrade, which was a significant focus for us in the first few months of our new location. We wanted to ensure that our patients had a seamless experience when scheduling appointments and accessing their health records. With the help of our IT team, we were able to implement a more user-friendly and efficient system that has greatly improved patient satisfaction.

Upgraded K laser nail fungus infection treatment to 3rd generation

As spring arrived in March, we upgraded the K Laser to its 3rd generation. The K Laser is a revolutionary tool that uses low-level laser therapy to promote healing and reduce pain. With the latest upgrade, we can now offer our patients even more advanced treatments for all fungal nail infections. We felt it was well worth the investment to enhance the quality of care we provide. All the clinical results so far are outstanding with delighted patients.

New excellent German foot cream range called Peclavus

In August, we transitioned our foot cream selection to the Peclavus range. This German brand produces high-quality, natural foot care products that have received rave reviews from our patients. We always strive to provide the best for our patients, which is why we chose to work with a brand that shares our dedication to quality and effectiveness.

Pavement improvements

As autumn approached, the long-awaited pavement improvements outside the clinic finally arrived in August and September. New wider pavements now front the clinic, ensuring accessibility and a welcoming atmosphere for everyone. Our level access from East Street has a ‘pull in’ drop off outside our front door.

Physiotherapist James Leyland joins the clinic

On September 9th, we were delighted to welcome our newest member to the team, Physiotherapist James Leyland. With over 20 years of experience in physiotherapy and rehabilitation, James brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the clinic.

Expanding our services to include physiotherapy, along with welcoming James to our team, marks a major advancement for our clinic. His vast experience and dedication to a holistic approach perfectly aligns with our mission to deliver exceptional care.

James has already made a positive impact on our patients, and we look forward to seeing him continue to thrive in his role.

Shockwave therapy machine

In November we invested in an EMS Swiss Dolorclast shockwave machine, adding another advanced treatment option for our patients.  This non-invasive and highly effective treatment is particularly useful for treating long standing soft tissue injuries such as Plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendonitis, tennis elbow and many other soft tissue conditions.  We are thrilled to be able to offer this cutting-edge treatment to our patients using the very best shockwave machine currently available on the market.

Digital window monitor

We have installed a new digital monitor in our window to keep you informed. It displays important clinic updates, services, and announcements, making it easier than ever to stay connected with Waverley Clinic. Be sure to check it out next time you pass by!

Annual Royal College of Podiatry Conference in Harrogate

At the end of November, we attended the Annual Royal College of Podiatry Conference in Harrogate. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with other healthcare professionals and learn about the latest research and advancements in podiatry. The presentations and workshops inspired us, and we look forward to incorporating what we learned into our practice in 2025.

New receptionist

We are excited to welcome Stephanie to Waverley Clinic. She joined us on December 9th as our new afternoon and evening receptionist, providing essential support to Jonathan and James during our busy Monday and Tuesday evenings.

Christmas lunch

On December 10th, we enjoyed a staff Christmas lunch at the Bush Hotel in Farnham. It was a great opportunity to relax and celebrate the year’s achievements in our new location while enjoying delicious food and good company. We are grateful for each team member’s hard work and dedication, which has contributed to another successful year at our clinic.

Looking ahead – new online booking system

As we look towards the future, we are excited about the possibilities of expanding our services even further and providing our patients with more advanced treatments and exceptional care. Our clinic will always strive to stay current with industry advancements and provide a comfortable, welcoming environment for all our patients.

We are currently working on an innovative online booking system for the new year. This system will allow patients to schedule appointments conveniently and efficiently, further enhancing their experience with us. We look forward to rolling out this new feature soon and continuing to improve our services in the year ahead.

Thank you for your support

Lastly, we want to express our sincere gratitude to all our patients who have supported us throughout the first year at our new location. Your loyalty and trust mean everything to us, and we are honoured to be a part of your healthcare journey. We are excited about what the future holds for our clinic and look forward to welcoming you back for many more years of exceptional care both in Podiatry and Physiotherapy.

Thank you for being a part of our journey!  All of us at Waverley Clinic wish you a happy and healthy new year.

See you in 2025!
