Routine Care

Whether you are suffering from corns, calluses, verrucae, or simply want a foot health MOT. Our routine foot care appointments can help you. We will diagnose, treat, and offer advice to help prevent future foot care issues you may have. Remember, we only have one pair of feet and a foot health MOT and advice can really help your future foot health.

Nail Surgery

Waverley Foot Clinic only used the latest minimally invasive surgical technique using local anaesthetic so there is no pain. This simple procedure called ‘Partial Nail Avulsion’ removes only the side of the nail which is ingrowing (about 2-3mm). We then treat the problem nail bed area with a chemical to kill future growth ensuring the problem does not reoccur (95% clinically researched success rate). Most of the nail is not involved which leads to a speedy recovery and an excellent long term cosmetic appearance.

Nail Fungus

After undergoing a nail fungus assessment appointment, we will diagnose, advise and offer a range of treatment options, including topical treatments for a light infection and a course of Lunula “Cold” Laser Therapy for moderate to heavy infections.

Ingrowing Toe Nails

Ingrowing toenails can be a painful problem. Whether it happens suddenly or ‘grumbles’ on for week,s professional Podiatry treatment is needed. At Waverley Foot Clinic we offer the most appropriate treatment for your problem.

Most of the time simple conservative treatment is needed to relieve the problem which is done at the first appointment. However, sometimes if the nail has ingrown significantly only a small operation can offer a solution.

Biomechanical Problems

We strongly believe that a biomechanical assessment is the best way to examine how your foot functions and operates as a diagnostic tool that accurately identifies the root cause of your foot problem. A biomechanical assessment is made up of visual gait/physical examination and a digital GaitScan which results in a dynamic and static load bearing 3D scan image of your working foot function.

Unlike more older, traditional methods of assessing foot function, and making moulds of the static foot. Waverley Foot Clinic has state of the art digital biochemical assessment technology. Detailed diagnostic information is recorded which we spend time explaining and discussing with the patient. This allows you to fully understand the biomechanical cause of your foot pain and how orthotic insoles will help.

Orthotic Insoles

Foot pain can be resolved by custom-made orthotic insoles, designed to help correct the way your feet work. Your feet are never the same so each insoles design helps to relieve pain or may play a long term foot health; problem prevention role. For example, orthotic insoles can help raise and support your arches, realign your feet and ankles and relieve pressure on sensitive spots on your feet.

Fitting Orthotic Insoles into your shoes

This is very important. We always ensure the insole design decision is made with you. Please bring a selection of your shoes / trainers / walking boots etc to the assessment so we can decide the correct insole to fit your lifestyle and footwear choice.
Orthotic insoles from sports hyper-flex designs to narrow ladies shoe designs are available. The right choice for your lifestyle always is made.
